By Jay Mehta KORBA (CHHATTISGARH): As part of the ongoing month-long ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ (September 17 to October 17, 2026), government administrative buildings and public offices across Korba district were beautifully illuminated with thousands of diyas (earthen lamps) on Thursday.

The primary lighting ceremony at the Collectorate premises was led by District Collector Shri Kunal Dudawat, alongside officials and staff members. Earthen lamps were lit across the Collectorate building and in front of the statue of Chhattisgarh Maatari, filling the administrative complex with a celebratory radiance.
Key officials present at the event included District Panchayat President Dr. Pawan Singh Kanwar, Chief Executive Officer Shri Prateek Jain, Assistant Collector Vishal Jaiswal, OSD Shri Tarun Kumar Kiran, and Additional Collector Shri Omkar Yadav, among other district officers and employees.
Similar illumination drives were conducted at the District Panchayat building, Korba Municipal Corporation headquarters, and various block-level offices, hostels, and local government establishments across the district. Self-help groups (SHGs), Scout and Guide volunteers, local civic organizations, and workers at the Bango Dam site also actively participated by lighting lamps to express their dedication toward public service and community welfare.
